A clean built around your handover
Professional end of tenancy cleaning in London
Moving out leaves more to clean than the surfaces you see every day. Empty cupboards reveal crumbs and dust, appliances need attention inside as well as outside, and skirting boards, taps and interior glass can become priorities at check-out. Crown Cleaners provides end of tenancy cleaning for tenants, landlords and letting agents who want these tasks handled together.
We agree the rooms, appliances and accessible surfaces before the visit, using your property details and any inventory or check-out requirements you share. Our end of lease cleaning includes deep oven cleaning and the necessary equipment and materials. Specialist carpet, upholstery and mattress treatments are optional additions, so your quote reflects the work you actually need.
Whether you are handing back a studio flat or preparing a furnished house for its next occupants, arrange the clean after belongings have been cleared and before key handover. Allow time to look over the property afterwards. If a booked cleaning task has been missed, our 7-day free re-clean guarantee provides a route to have an eligible issue put right, subject to the booking terms.
Use the end of tenancy cleaning checklist to compare the proposed scope with your property, then request a quote for your move.
A room-by-room approach
What’s included in your clean
The essentials for a property handover, with the scope confirmed for your home before booking.
Kitchen, oven & appliances
Kitchen cleaning concentrates on cooking residue, food splashes and the storage spaces that are hard to reach during everyday use. Deep oven cleaning is included. Tell us which other appliances are in the property so their interiors, removable parts and accessible surfaces can be included in the agreed checklist.
- Degrease suitable worktops, hob surfaces and accessible kitchen tiles.
- Clean emptied cupboards and drawers inside and out, including handles.
- Clean the sink, taps and agreed appliances; the fridge and freezer must be emptied and defrosted in advance.
Bathrooms, toilets & shower rooms
Bathrooms need more than a quick wipe before a property handover. We work through the bath, shower, basin and toilet, treating limescale and soap residue where the surface allows. Products and methods need to suit the fittings: cleaning cannot repair damaged enamel, failed sealant or permanently marked finishes.
- Clean the bath, shower enclosure, basin and toilet.
- Treat suitable taps, reachable tiles and glass, and polish mirrors.
- Wipe accessible bathroom storage, fittings and hard floors.
Bedrooms, living rooms & storage
Once belongings have been removed, the team can reach shelving, wardrobes and other storage surfaces. Our move-out cleaning also covers the everyday contact points that can be overlooked when packing. Tell us about delicate furnishings, fitted blinds or restricted access so these can be discussed before the appointment.
- Dust and wipe accessible furniture, shelves and emptied storage.
- Clean doors, handles, switches, skirting boards and reachable interior glass.
- Vacuum carpets and soft furnishings; deep fabric cleaning is a separate treatment.
Hallways, stairs & finishing details
Entrance areas and stairs connect the whole property, so they form part of the clean rather than an afterthought. We vacuum the agreed carpeted areas and mop suitable hard floors. Reach and safe access matter: heavy furniture, high fittings or areas blocked by belongings must be discussed in advance.
- Wipe accessible banisters, doors, frames and skirting boards.
- Clean reachable interior windows, sills and mirrors.
- Check the agreed rooms and tasks before the property is secured.
Have a check-in report or particular requirements? Share them with us so we can agree the right scope.

- Arrange working water and electricity, keys and safe access. Use our preparation guide.
Access and possible charges
- Discuss furniture access in advance; suitable light items may be moved where safe and agreed.

Service limits
- Wall-mark removal, loft cleaning and biohazard cleaning are outside the standard EOT scope.

Tell us about furnished rooms, heavy build-up, restricted access and any extra services when requesting the quote. We will confirm what is included, the total price and any applicable parking or congestion charges before you book. The starting prices shown here are a guide for planning your move.

How our end of tenancy cleaners work
A clear order of work helps the team cover the whole booked property. Your move-out schedule, access arrangements and any specialist treatments are agreed before the appointment.
Agree the scope before the visit
Share the property layout, condition, appliances and moving date, along with any inventory notes. We confirm the price, cleaning priorities, optional extras and access arrangements. Full payment is required before the service starts.
Work through kitchens & bathrooms
The team brings the agreed equipment and cleaning products. Work includes deep oven cleaning, kitchen surfaces and storage, bathroom fittings and suitable limescale treatment. Empty, prepared appliances and clear access let us work on the areas included in your booking.
Complete the living areas & floors
Bedrooms, living rooms, halls and stairs are cleaned to the agreed checklist, including accessible furniture, woodwork, interior glass and floors. Any deep carpet, sofa or mattress cleaning is carried out only when it has been requested and quoted.
Review the clean before key handover
Allow time to inspect the property and flag any questions. Keep your booking details and record the cleaned condition for your own handover arrangements. If you later identify a missed agreed task, contact our office within the 7-day re-clean period with the relevant details.
For the practical preparation steps, read how to prepare before your end of tenancy cleaners arrive.

End of tenancy cleaning or a one-off deep clean?
End of tenancy cleaning is organised around a property handover. It brings the agreed rooms, storage, appliances and finishing details together in one planned clean, normally after personal belongings have been cleared. The aim is to address cleaning tasks across the rental before check-out or the next occupant moves in.
If you are staying in your home and need help with selected rooms or a seasonal refresh, one-off cleaning may be a better fit. For ongoing household tasks, see regular domestic cleaning. Recent building work can require a different scope again, so tell us about renovation dust or debris when enquiring.
A cleaning service does not repair damage, reverse wear or decide how a deposit is returned. Share the property’s starting condition and your handover requirements so the cleaning scope addresses the work that is relevant to your move. Our guide to cleaning, deposits and tenant responsibilities explains the evidence to keep alongside your own inventory.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in an end of tenancy clean?
The agreed clean covers accessible rooms and surfaces, including deep oven cleaning, with equipment and products supplied. Carpets and upholstery are vacuumed; their deep cleaning and exterior window cleaning are separate services. Check the full cleaning checklist and confirm the appliance and access requirements in your quote.
How is my end of tenancy cleaning price agreed?
We quote per job for the agreed scope, rather than charging an hourly EOT rate. The price depends on property size, bathrooms, condition, appliances and any extra services. We confirm the total price, applicable tax treatment and any agreed parking, congestion or other access charges before you book. See our cleaning prices for starting prices.
Do I have to hire professional cleaners?
For tenancies covered by the Tenant Fees Act in England, you can choose to clean yourself. The relevant comparison is the property’s documented starting cleanliness. A cleaning invoice alone does not settle a deposit dispute. See Shelter’s cleaning guidance and our tenant rights guide.
What does the 7-day re-clean guarantee cover?
If an agreed cleaning task was missed, contact us within 7 days of the clean with the details and any relevant photographs or check-out comments. Eligible issues receive a free re-clean, subject to scope, notification and access conditions in our booking terms. The guarantee covers cleaning; it does not guarantee the return of a tenancy deposit.
How much time should I allow for the clean?
Many properties take around 3–6 hours, but size, condition and booked extras can change this. We confirm an access window when arranging the appointment. Allow time after the clean for your inspection and, if textile cleaning is booked, any required drying before handover.
How should I prepare the property?
Clear belongings, empty cupboards and appliances, and arrange keys, water and electricity. Defrost the fridge and freezer at least 24 hours before the visit, following the appliance instructions. Tell us about restricted access or furniture that may prevent cleaning. Our preparation guide explains the practical steps.
Do I need to be at the property?
You do not need to stay throughout the clean. Arrange how the team will enter, provide an available contact, and agree how the property will be secured afterwards. Tell us about key collection, building entry, lifts and parking before the appointment.
Can I add carpet or upholstery cleaning?
Yes, request it when asking for your quote. The standard EOT clean includes vacuuming; deep carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning are priced separately. We confirm the combined scope, price and drying requirements before booking.
How long do carpets take to dry if I book deep cleaning?
Drying depends on the fibre, thickness, ventilation, temperature and amount of moisture remaining. Carpets and rugs can take several hours or longer; allow extra time in cool or poorly ventilated rooms. The technician will advise on drying and access after assessing the item. Avoid using it until it is fully dry.
How and when do I pay?
The full agreed price is payable before cleaning starts. We accept card payment through our payment link, bank transfer, or cash on arrival before work where agreed in advance. Your booking confirmation sets out the payment arrangements.
How can I change or cancel my booking?
Contact us as soon as you need to change or cancel a booking. The notice requirements, any applicable charges and cancellation rights are explained in our booking terms. We confirm any rearrangement with you.
What should I do if I think something has been damaged?
Contact our office with your booking reference, a description of the issue and photographs where available. We investigate the circumstances and explain the next steps under our booking terms. Please retain the affected item and relevant evidence while the issue is assessed.
